Can You Do Too Many Kegels?

Short Answer Yes. More is not always better. Overdoing can increase muscle tension and create or worsen problems.

Some men develop a hypertonic (overly tight) pelvic floor. In those cases, aggressive strengthening is the opposite of what is needed. Even in men who need strengthening, continuous high-volume work without full relaxation between contractions can be counterproductive.

Stick to moderate sets, emphasize complete release, and stop if you notice increased pelvic pain, tension, or urinary changes.
